Free In-Home EstimateShower Design That Removes Barriers
A barrier-free shower is exactly what it sounds like: no threshold, no curb, no step. The shower floor is level with the bathroom floor (or nearly so), meaning wheelchair users can roll directly in, walker users can enter without risk, and anyone with mobility concerns can bathe independently and safely.
We install barrier-free showers across SW Florida for a range of homeowners — wheelchair users, aging-in-place seniors, people recovering from surgery, occupational therapists' clients, and families caring for loved ones with progressive mobility conditions. Every install is designed to ADA guidelines and customized to the individual's needs.

Barrier-Free Shower FAQs
Straight answers to the questions SW Florida homeowners ask us most.
What is a barrier-free shower?
A barrier-free (or curbless) shower has no threshold or lip between the bathroom floor and the shower floor. You can walk, wheel, or roll straight in. It is the gold standard for aging-in-place, ADA compliance, and wheelchair accessibility.
Is it waterproof without a curb?
Yes. Barrier-free showers use a linear trench drain combined with a sloped shower pan that channels water away from the bathroom floor. Done correctly (and we have done hundreds), water stays in the shower.
Will a barrier-free shower work in my existing bathroom?
Most existing bathrooms can be converted, but the floor structure must allow for the required slope. During the free in-home estimate, we check the subfloor and confirm feasibility before you commit to anything.
How much does a barrier-free shower cost in SW Florida?
Typical barrier-free shower conversions run $10,500 to $16,000 including the linear drain, sloped pan, wall system, glass panel, and fixtures. Accessibility upgrades like grab bars and fold-down seats are available add-ons.
Is this covered by insurance or Medicare?
Medicare does not typically cover home modifications. Some long-term care insurance, Medicaid waiver programs, and VA benefits may contribute. We can supply documentation your provider may require, but we do not bill insurance directly.
